Crutch specs database: weight, weight limit and height range for 18 models

What each crutch weighs, how much weight it is rated to carry and what user heights it fits, for 8 forearm and 10 underarm models, in one table. Every figure comes from the maker's or retailer's published listing, and every weight names where it came from. Where nobody publishes a number, the cell stays blank.

What the data shows

  • 9 of 18 models have a published per-crutch weight. For the other 9, neither the maker nor its retail listing states what one crutch weighs.
  • 1.1 lb to 2.9 lb is the published weight range for one forearm crutch (6 models). The 3 underarm models with a published weight run 2.2 lb to 5.0 lb.
  • 250 to 500 lb is the range of maker-rated user weight capacity across the 17 models that publish one, from Carex Folding Aluminum Crutches and Harvy Laminated Wood Crutches at the low end to Drive Medical Bariatric Heavy-Duty Crutches at the top.
  • 4'2" to 7'1" is the user-height span across the sizes in this table. The tallest fit is In-Motion Pro Underarm Crutches and the shortest is In-Motion Pro Forearm Crutches. Some makers sell separate tall or youth versions that reach further.
  • 6 of 18 models fold or collapse for storage and travel.

How this data was compiled

Every value comes from a published manufacturer or retailer listing, gathered June to September 2026. We have not weighed or measured these crutches ourselves, so this is what the makers state, checked against their own pages.

  • Weight is for one crutch. Shipping or package weight is never used as a stand-in, because it includes packaging and usually covers the pair.
  • User weight limit is the maker's rating for the heaviest user the crutch is built for. It is separate from what the crutch itself weighs.
  • User height describes the size our review covers. Where a maker sells tall or youth versions as separate products, the row notes it.
  • Blank means unpublished. If no maker or retailer states a figure, we leave it blank rather than estimate it.

Disclosure: 2 of the models in this table are made by Millennial Medical, which also operates this site. Their rows are compiled the same way as every other row, from the maker's published listing.

Spotted a figure that has changed, or a maker that now publishes one we show as blank? Email nlhenterprisesllc@gmail.com with a link to the listing and we will update the table.
