Methodology

How we score

Roundup sites rank whatever pays best. We score on the same rubric every time and tell you exactly what goes into it, so you can trust the order.

The Fit Score

Every crutch gets a 0–10 score in five categories. The overall Fit Score is the average.

Comfort
Handle ergonomics, cuff fit, shock absorption, and how it feels over a long day, not just a quick walk across a room.
Durability
Build quality, materials, hardware, and weight capacity relative to the price.
Portability
Weight, whether it folds, and how easy it is to travel with or stow.
Adjustability
Height and fit range, lock security under load, and how well it adapts to different bodies.
Value
What you get for the price, including warranty and accessories.

How we keep it honest

A note on one product: the In-Motion Pro is made by a company some of our team is connected to. We score it on the same rubric as everything else, and we say where it wins and where it doesn’t. See our disclosure.
